This is also the time to go over any questions you have about the process, healing, and aftercare. My goal is to make sure you feel confident and excited about your tattoo before we start. Aftercare
Healing Guidance
At 2.ukd, I recommend the second skin healing method for a smoother, faster recovery with minimal scabbing. Right after your session, I’ll apply a breathable, waterproof film (such as Saniderm or DermShield) to protect your fresh ink from bacteria, friction, and irritation. You’ll keep this first layer on for 24 to 48 hours—it’s normal to see some fluid buildup underneath. When it’s time to remove it, gently wash your tattoo with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap, then pat it dry. If needed, you can apply a fresh piece of second skin and leave it on for up to 5-7 days. This method keeps your tattoo in a moist, protected environment, helping it heal with less peeling and brighter, long-term results. Once the film is off, keep your tattoo moisturized with a light, fragrance-free lotion, and avoid excessive sun exposure or soaking in water. With the right care, your new ink will heal beautifully and stay vibrant for years to come!
